Britney or Coffee?

As of right now, I am having trouble deciphering which social media account I should follow and analyze. I am very tempted to do Britney Spears' Facebook page because she actively posts. She not only advertises her songs and perfumes and music videos etc. which are all things that make her the celebrity she is today, but she also post about her kids and her life outside of being famous. I appreciate this because that means she is not afraid of the public being involved in her life and it also makes for a more interesting account to "creep on". Along with Britney Spears, I would like to explore Starbucks' Instagram profile.I have no doubt that with all the new drinks they come up with that they are creative in their use of photos to lure in customers. Starbucks has always been very creative and delicious to say the least, so I have no doubt that their Instagram has tempting pictures of drinks and pastries with clever captions and names that will make the customers come rolling in. I hopefully will decide between the two soon but i don't want to rush myself quite yet.

Social Media

On social media, I tend to represent myself as a very happy and fun-filled 18 year old. I have my age and relationship status public on my profile because I don’t feel the need to lie about who I am or have any secrets.
I chose 5 things to analyze all from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. First, my cover photo on Facebook is a picture of me and 3 other Pi Phi’s who go to Auburn but are all from my hometown. I chose this photo because we are all laughing and having a good time and it shows, to the people back home, that Auburn is awesome because 4 of us chose it and are all friends now. Second, I posted a tweet that said, “I just need a dog with me at all times. Please.” I wrote this because I know all of my friends are missing their dogs right now and a lot of people would relate and, in turn, choose to favorite my tweet. My third choice was my Facebook profile picture, which is a picture of my boyfriend and I kissing at prom. I posted this to show everyone at home that things are going great between us and we are still keeping in contact with each other. Next, I posted an Instagram of me and my “Big” for my sorority. I know so many people get annoyed with how many “Big/Little” Instagrams they see but I know that if I didn’t my friends would think something went wrong. I also want to show that my big was from Newport too! Lastly I posted a tweet the other day, when I was mad at my boyfriend, that said, “Not having it today.” I wanted to get my feelings out through social media, and whether he did or didn’t see it, I still wanted to get it out there, because I knew there would be someone else having a bad day as well that would appreciate it.
I do believe that all of my social media posts are very accurate representations of myself unfortunately sometimes I can tend to be too negative on twitter. Everything other than that is on spot.
I do very much so feel liable for everything I post. I have had 2 jobs and hope to get on in a few months, and I know that I will probably have to make my twitter private and figure out how to make my vine private too.
I would probably not get a job based on a few of my Instagrams, but it would be pretty hard for any future employer of mine to get access to those. I do believe that I would get the job as long as the employer didn’t judge a book by its cover. It may appear that all I do is go out and have fun, but it reality I can sit down, focus, and get my stuff done. But obviously people aren’t going to post pictures of themselves studying on Facebook.
